Cafe Hopping: Cuckoo's Bakery (23 March 2014, Sunday)
I have been doing a lot of Cafe hopping just recently. Probably it all started around end of last year until this year, and it is an ongoing hobby of mine.
Each month I will treat myself to visit a new cafe.
I love the independent ones. They are much more cooler. Some of the cafes are just so 'pretty'.
Pretty Cafes are amazing :)
so! yesterday,
I went out with Jacy. She is my classmate from Marketing.
We planned to chill since it was quite of a week we had last week.
Lots of due dates and last minutes assignments and projects and what not.
Plus, the weather was so perfect! so our decision really did pay off quite beautifully, I would say.
Today's review is all about Cuckoo's Bakery.
It is a small Cafe located on Dundas Street, Edinburgh.
Jacy and I had to walk from Princes Street all the way down to Dundas Street.
But it was a no problem for us though, because as I mentioned, yesterday's weather was extremely perfect.
We enjoyed walking while talking to each other.
And our journey seemed to be shorter that way. lol.
This was my second time visiting Cuckoo's Bakery, but my first time actually to sit in.
The first time I went here, the store was closed.
Turned out, I didn't aware the Cafe is closed on Monday. Yeah, my bad.
So there I was, on my second journey to Cuckoo's Bakery, with a different friend, and yes, it was opened. :)
We arrived at around 4pm more or less. Can't remember, but there were quite of a crowd sitting in, enjoying their afternoon pre-evening meal and dish. Also, just to have a bite on Cuckoo's bakery's cupcakes, of course.
Jacy and I ordered rose black tea, it comes in a pot. We shared it.
The tea price is £4.00 for two.
but one tea is £2.30
The prices of different cupcakes vary slightly among each other.
I ordered one red velvet cupcake
and Jacy ordered one chocolate vanilla cupcake. (unfortunately I don't have her cupcake picture).
That was all we ordered.
But we really enjoyed our time there.
Cuckoo's Bakery serves some other dishes other than cupcakes.
For more details, you should probably head on to their facebook page:

oh and did I already mention how perfect the weather was?

Majestic Edinburgh.
I am sure going to miss this place.
